No Aintree doubts for Ruby Walsh after 'mild sprain'

Ruby Walsh will return to the saddle at Limerick on Sunday after being stood down at Clonmel on Thursday.

Walsh took a tumble from the Willie Mullins-trained Bleu Berry at the final flight when in second place behind eventual winner Alamein in the opening Easter Holidays Maiden Hurdle.

He suffered a sprained ankle and did not take up his only other scheduled ride of the day.

Walsh took no chances with Aintree upon the horizon, but has suffered no lasting damage.

Irish Turf Club chief medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick said: "I spoke to him last evening and he said it was just a mild sprain.

"I wouldn't have any concerns over him and there are certainly no doubts about Aintree.

"He certainly seemed happy enough last night."
