Heineken Ireland boss Gerrit van Loo has taken over the helm at Beamish & Crawford, after the resignation of Alf Smiddy.
Heineken has just concluded the acquisition of Beamish & Crawford following receipt of unconditional approval from the Irish Competition Authority last Friday.
Mr Smiddy had a 20-year career with Beamish, having joined the company as financial controller and later taking on the positions of chairman and managing director.
Mr Smiddy has agreed to provide assistance to Heineken Ireland and Beamish & Crawford on a consultancy basis over the coming months to assist with the process of combining the two companies.
