Bus driver fined for racially abusive language

A part-time bus driver who made racist comments at a 12-year-old school boy before telling him he should go back to Africa has been fined €300.

A part-time bus driver who made racist comments at a 12-year-old school boy before telling him he should go back to Africa has been fined €300.

Celsus Callan, aged 30, from Carnaget Park in Newry, was convicted under the incitement to hatred Act at Dundalk District Court.

The case arose from an argument between the two on a bus last November.
