Enterprise Minister Mary Harney has announced plans by her department to invest €25m in 10 Irish companies.

Enterprise Minister Mary Harney has announced plans by her department to invest €25m in 10 Irish companies.

The investment is designed to support innovation, research and development and the acquirement of international markets.

Companies in Galway, Dublin, Offaly, Wexford, Laois, and Leitrim will benefit from the move.

Ms Harney claimed her department's investment would create 386 jobs over three years.
