A US company has announced plans to lay off 160 workers in Co Cork.

A US company has announced plans to lay off 160 workers in Co Cork.

EMC, a data storage equipment firm, hopes to shed 160 jobs at its operation in the town of Ovens.

The company has offered redundancy packages to all staff and hopes that the necessary cut-backs can all come about voluntarily.
