Sheen back on set

Charlie Sheen surprised workmates with his “normal” return to work.

Charlie Sheen surprised workmates with his “normal” return to work.

The 'Two And A Half Men' actor returned to the set of his hit TV show yesterday - one week after he trashed a New York hotel room following a drug and alcohol fuelled party with a porn star escort - and executives were surprised by how casual his behaviour was.

One producer told gossip website TMZ there were "lots of fist pumps and hugs" and added "what's shocking is how normal everything is".

However it was revealed that no one mentioned the incident from last week.

Meanwhile Charlie’s friend and fellow actor Robert Downey Jr. – who battled drug addiction for years – revealed he has only one piece of advice for the troubled actor.

He told chat show host David Letterman: "He's a grown man. What am I gonna say? The only advice I would give him is, you know, don't get arrested."

Speaking at the US premiere of his new movie ‘Due Date’ Robert said: "The weird thing is that someone who's been through it is expected to talk about it. I'd rather just talk to them; I'd like to talk to Charlie, I've known him for ages."
