Fifty three Kenyan cattle herders have been murdered by armed rustlers.
The men were killed in Lokitaung by rustlers believed to be from a neighbouring country.
The 53 were among 200 Turkana herdsmen and their families who were migrating in search of pasture for their livestock.
Police spokesman, Dola Indidis, says the herdsmen were confronted by around 400 rustlers.
Six donkeys and 10 goats were taken while 23 cattle had bullet wounds from a fierce exchange of fire, according to reports.
