Single pop star Kelly Clarkson has vowed to remain childless, because she's convinced she'd be a terrible mother.

The 'American Idol' winner loves playing aunt to her siblings' offspring, but the thought of looking after a baby of her own fills her with terror.

Clarkson, 26, tells Newsweek: "I'm awesome at the aunt thing. I'll hang out with my oldest; out of all my nieces and nephews, the nephew is the oldest, he's seven.

"But I'm not really good with the whole baby thing. I don't do the diaper thing."
