Lenny Kravitz has been confirmed to perform an intimate show in London's Soho area.

The 'Fly Away' singer will be performing tracks from his new album, 'Black and White America' as well as classic hits from his back catalogue when he plays the show at controversial club The Box – famed for is burlesque shows - for just 200 people.

Absolute Radio Breakfast Show DJ Christian O’Connell announced the show on his breakfast show this morning, saying: "Lenny Kravitz is an incredible artist and the fans that are lucky enough to win tickets are in for a real treat. He oozes cool and with such an intimate audience the gig promises to be very special indeed.”

The singer recently told how his new album, 'Black and White America' came to him as dreams.

Asks how it feels to wake up with a song in his head, he said: "It feels almost euphoric. The songs come fully formed. I actually hear a record playing, and I'm digging it. Then I wake up and realise, 'Wait, that's not a record. That's a song. It's something new.' Then it becomes a matter of quickly finding a tape recorder."

Absolute Radio will be giving fans the chance to win tickets to the show – which takes place on September 12 – in the run up to it, and it will be filmed to be viewed at www.absoluteradio.co.uk.
