40% increase in claims to Equality Tribunal
Discrimination claims rose by 40% to the Equality Tribunal for the first half of 2003.

Speaking at the launch of a new initiative aimed at helping employers tackle discrimination, Nora Byrne of Training Responses to address Equality and Diversity (TRED), says Irish employers must take action to address inequality in the workplace or face fines of up to €50,000.
