Investment in Irish venture capital companies recovered in 2003, with €255m being invested in 187 companies. €105m was invested in 2002.
Ninety-six per cent of 2003’s increased investment was made in technology firms, according to the Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA) Annual Review, which was published today.
"This is the highest weighting of investment in the tech sector by any European country," said Shay Garvey, the new chairman of the IVCA.
