United sign young Spanish defender
Manchester United have signed Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.
The centre-back, a Spain Under-17 international who can also play at left-back, rejected the offer of a new contract at the Nou Camp in favour of a move to Old Trafford.
No fee has been disclosed yet but Pique is reported to have signed a five-year deal.
His full name is Gerard Pique Bernabeu, which is ironic given that Barca’s great rivals play at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
