Earthquake rattles southern Spain
An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale shook southern Spain today, causing minor damage but no injuries.
The quake’s epicentre was near the town of Santa Fe in the southern Granada province and the tremor was also felt in the nearby Malaga and Murcia province, the National Geographic Institute said.
The Civil Guard in Granada said they received numerous calls from residents of the affected area who described the quake as powerful, but added there were no serious incidents to be reported, the news agency Europa Press said.
