Figures show decrease on food spend at hospitals
Hospitals are spending as little as €2 on meals for patients, according to the Irish Examiner.
The newspaper reports that the catering spend at hospitals has fallen by 20% since 2008.
The average daily spend on food per patient has fallen from €8.10 a day to just €7.01.
