The ISEQ index of shares was back in the black this morning as it added 15.99 points in early trading to stand at 6713.63.
There were mixed fortunes for the financials. Bank of Ireland led the way, adding 10c to €13.06, while AIB was up 1c to €17.81.
Irish Life & Permanent was unchanged at €14.70, but Anglo Irish continued to slide, shedding 10c to €10.85 this morning.
Constructions stocks rallied from yesterday's dismal showing, with McInerney Holdings leading the way with a 20c surge to €8.50. Kingspan was up 10c to €10.45, while CRH added 3c to stand at €22.75.
