Pocket urinals have been launched in Germany.

The mobile toilets - which have a 6cm hole for men and a funnel attachment for ladies - have been designed for those who need to use a lavatory in an emergency.

The pocket urinals - which can hold up to three-quarters of a litre - contain special crystals that turn urine into an odourless gel and are able to be sealed, tied up and binned without leaking, according to The Local.

People wishing to purchase the product have to splash out €129 for a pack of 100.

Marketing director Karsten Nordhausen, said: "I can turn [the urinal] upside down and none [of the urine] falls out.

"Three-quarters of a litre is plenty for everyday use. But some people with, shall we say, trained beer bladders might need to be careful."
