The final two people being questioned in connection with the death of a Sligo pensioner seven years ago have been released without charge.

Edward Fitzmaurice's badly-beaten body was discovered at his home in Bellaghy near Charlestown in May 1998.

Five others, including a number of women, were released from custody last night.
