The Bloody Sunday Tribunal in Derry has adjourned for the day after lawyers representing the families of the victims took legal action against one of the inquiry’s rulings.
The families of the 13 civilians shot dead by British soldiers challenged a ruling giving 20 RUC witnesses the right to give evidence from behind screens.
The High Court in Belfast granted the families leave to appeal the ruling, which was made by Lord Saville, the tribunal chairman, last week.
The High Court also ordered the tribunal not to hear evidence this afternoon from a police officer who was due to testify from behind a screen.
