Offaly boss Mike McNamara has passed young midfielder Michael Cordial fit to face Tipperary in the All-Ireland quarter finals at Croke Park on Sunday.

The young dynamo aggravated an old knee injury in their qualifier victory over Limerick last time out and was replaced by Conor Gath who performed admirably but Cordial gets the nod nonetheless.

Meanwhile, a space has been left in the half-forwards for either Neville Coughlan or Stephen Brown. Simon Whelahan is on the bench again.

Offaly (SH v Tipperary): B Mullins; N Claffey, G Oakley, D Franks; J Brady, Brian Whelahan, C Cassidy; M Cordial, Barry Whelahan; AN Other, G Hanniffy, R Hanniffy; B Carroll, J Errity, B Murphy.
