Renewed appeal over missing toddler

Police attempting to trace a woman who disappeared with her one-year-old son during a scheduled visit to a residential home in Derry tonight renewed their appeal for information.

Police attempting to trace a woman who disappeared with her one-year-old son during a scheduled visit to a residential home in Derry tonight renewed their appeal for information.

Detectives said they are concerned for the safety of the toddler after he was snatched at 10.50am on Friday.

The incident occurred during a scheduled visit by the mother to the residential home on Irish Street.

It is feared the woman has travelled to Cork with her son.

She is described as 5ft 5in, of heavy build, and with auburn hair tied back.

The toddler was wearing a grey hooded top, blue jeans and brown shoes.
