A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl in the north over the weekend.

A 20 year old man has been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 17 year old girl in the north over the weekend.

It happened in the Lisburn road area of Ballynahinch on Sunday morning.

The man was detained in the Newtownards area earlier today.
