Gardaí in Dublin have revealed that they are treating two overnight fires in the city as arson attacks.
In one of the fires, a man in his 50s suffered 70% burns before managing to jump from a window of his home on the North Circular Road at around 1am.
The man is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the nearby Mater Hospital.
Meanwhile, a house on Sheepmore Crescent in Blanchardstown was destroyed in another suspected arson attack shortly below 11pm last night.
Nobody was inside the house at the time of the blaze.
