The 74-year-old woman who was struck by a Garda car in Dublin three weeks ago has died from her injuries in hospital.

The 74-year-old woman who was struck by a Garda car in Dublin three weeks ago has died from her injuries in hospital.

The woman was waiting at a bus stop on Clonskeagh Road in the south of the city on the afternoon of May 22 when she was struck by the out-of-control squad car.

She died in Beaumont Hospital this morning.

It remains unclear if the two gardaí in the patrol car were responding to an emergency call, but witnesses reported hearing a siren at around the time of the crash.
