Gardaí expect more arrests in international drugs probe

Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan has said that more arrests may be made, following the seizure of more than €28m worth of cocaine this morning.

Drugs squad officers arrested two men in Tallaght and Leixlip, in what has been described as the biggest inland drugs seizure in the history of the State.

It is believed the drugs were brought into Ireland as part of an international drugs operation, targeted by Gardaí and the Revenue Commission.
