Cheltenham are ready for action as they prepare for a welter of top-class racing over the next two days.
High winds forced the track to abandon the second day of the Festival meeting but course officials acted quickly to save Wednesday’s races.
The events have been added to the existing cards on Thursday and Friday, with 10 and nine races on each respective day.
Clerk of the course Simon Claisse admits it will be a demanding period but he is relishing the challenge.
“We’re fine here this morning, it’s mostly cloudy and we might get a little light shower but we haven’t got any of those winds,” said Claisse.
“We haven’t got any forecasting concerns, everything is in order here and we’re looking forward to welcoming around 55,000 people today.
“It’s going to be a challenging couple of days but we’re looking forward to it.”
The going at Prestbury Park is reported to be good to soft, good in places with 0.2 millimetres of rain overnight.
