Police were tonight hunting thugs who broke into the science block of a Co Down school and trashed 10 rooms.

Police were tonight hunting thugs who broke into the science block of a Co Down school and trashed 10 rooms.

Laptops, microscopes, overhead projectors and a skeleton were damaged during the weekend rampage at Dromore High School on the Banbridge Road, Dromore.

The vandals also daubed graffiti on classroom whiteboards.

A PSNI spokeswoman urged anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity between Friday evening and the early hours of today to come forward.
