Man's body recovered from Leitrim canal

The body of a 63-year-old has been recovered from a canal in Co Leitrim. Gardaí say the man had been reported missing yesterday morning at around 11am.

The body of a 63-year-old has been recovered from a canal in Co Leitrim. Gardaí say the man had been reported missing yesterday morning at around 11am.

It is understood he had been out fishing in Carrick-on-Shannon.

His body was discovered at around 1am.
