French air controllers' strike over
Flights at Paris airports were getting back to normal today after striking air traffic controllers reached a deal with France’s civil aviation authority.
Some delays were expected in the morning at Paris’s Orly airport, which handles mostly domestic and charter flights, as strikers returned to work.
Negotiators reached a deal late last night that union leaders were to formally present today to strikers, said Norbert Bolis, a union leader from CGT-Aviation Civile. He said the deal was expected “to restore a serene climate”.
The strike has forced the cancellation of some 60% of flights at Orly airport since Monday morning.
