Pregnant sheep survives snow burial

A pregnant sheep managed to survive 11 days buried in snow.

The miracle animal somehow managed to stay alive under a snowdrift in South West Scotland for nearly two weeks after terrible weather hit the country.

Farmer Stuart Mactier took to his Facebook account to share the good news with his family and friends.

He wrote: "Just dug her out, 11 days completely buried in snow, still alert, unbelievable.”

Following the snowfall, around 60 sheep went missing on Stuart's farm and only four were rescued.
