Car bomb kills eight at Baghdad mosque

A car bomb exploded today at a Shiite mosque in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, killing at least eight people, police said.

A car bomb exploded today at a Shiite mosque in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, killing at least eight people, police said.

The blast happened during noon prayers at al-Subeih mosque, said police Col. Ahmed Aboud. A number of people were also believed wounded, he said.

The US military had no immediate information on the incident.
