Angelina Jolie took a part in action movie 'Wanted' to help her get over her mother's death.

The actress - who is currently awaiting the birth of her twins - felt she was sliding into depression after her mum, Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer in February last year.

Jolie admits that she needed to take a role in a stunt-packed thriller to help stop her dwelling on negative thoughts.

She says: "My mother had just passed away and I wanted to do something physical to get it out of my head for a while.

"I felt I was going into a very dark place and I wasn't capable of getting up in the morning, so I signed up for something that would force me to be active."
