Kermit and friends are all looking forward to a happy holiday at the Muppet Theatre until the big bad bank lady Rachel Bitterman (Joan Cusack) threatens to foreclose on the theatre’s mortgage and put an end to their performing dreams.

Kermit blames himself for everything going so badly wrong

He thinks the world would be a better place if he were never born. God (Whoopie Goldberg) sends Daniel (David Arquette) to the rescue.

Overall, it’s a decent Muppet flick with plenty of laughs thrown in and a welcome improvement on recent Muppet offerings.

It will be interesting to see where they take the franchise from here.
