Home loan deals offer

Bank of Ireland has come up with a new deal for those who want to switch to a cheaper mortgage.

To celebrate the launch of this new offer, customers who switch before the end of March 2008 will also be able to enter Bank of Ireland’s (BoI) in-branch competition for a chance to have their mortgage paid for a year.

This new initiative is specifically designed to encourage customers to examine both the service and value proposition that they are currently receiving from their existing mortgage provider.

Switchers will get a €1,000 cash contribution towards their legal fees along with tracker rates from a low 4.65% (4.75% APR) and fixed rates from only 4.79% (5.3% APR).

Recent research shows that most switchers shop around before moving (78%) and one in three want to release equity at the same time as switching. The most common reason for releasing equity being for home improvements.

Jonathan Byrne, head of marketing, mortgages, BoI, said: “As the number one mortgage provider, we are delighted to be offering enhanced value to customers switching into us.

“This is further evidence of our continued commitment to continually reviewing and improving our customer offerings in the marketplace,” he said.

To check out this new home loan deal and be in with a chance of having your mortgage paid for a year, customers should call into any one of BoI’s 280 branches nationwide and speak to a mortgage advisor who will provide free no obligation quotations and advice.

Customers can also phone 1890 365 850 for further information.

Lines are open 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
