Small Firms Association (SFA) director Avine McNally said that Ireland's small businesses can create jobs, given the right conditions by the next Government.
The SFA says it wants to highlight business achievements at a showcase for their National Small Business Awards finalists at the Dublin event today.
McNally said that her organisation wants the Government to help create a positive business environment.
“Unfortunately there are businesses failing every day due to unavailability of credit and not being able to deal with costs,” she said.
“But clearly there is a lot of positivity there and if given the correct environment from the current and the incoming Government, a lot of small businesses will grow, they will thrive and they will create the employment and that’s what we really need to focus on.”
