Toyota team boss Tsutomu Tomita has spelled out his determination to end a difficult season on a high, starting at the team’s home race in Japan.
Tomita’s team have endured a string of disappointments this season, prompting them to recruit an expensive driver line-up for next year in a bid to turn their fortunes around.
Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher will join for 2005 but before then, Tomita hopes the Japanese Grand Prix in Japan next month will offer signs of a revival.
He said: “Obviously, a very disappointing result after a strong weekend for Toyota in China.
“We now have to look ahead to Toyota’s home race, the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, where we will be aiming to get a good result, not only for the team, but also for the Toyota family and our Japanese supporters.”
