BDO’s Irish arm sees income rise in 2003

BDO Simpson Xavier, the Irish office of BDO International, announced a fee income of €48.396m for its recent financial year end.

BDO Simpson Xavier, the Irish office of BDO International, announced a fee income of €48.396m for its recent financial year end.

This compared to last year's fee income of €41.059m and represents a 17.87% growth in the Irish market.

The increase saw the Irish operation increase its market share to 8.4% compared to 7.2% in 2002.

On a worldwide scale, BDO International saw its fee income to September 30, 2003 recorded at $2,668m (€2,120m), an 11.4% increase on 2002's figure of $2,395 (€1903.60m).

Frans Samyn, CEO of BDO International said : "BDO's focus on the growing businesses market has made the network less vulnerable to adverse developments and uncertainty in the audit environment. BDO International is a world wide network of public accounting firms, called BDO Member Firms with each member an independent legal entity in its own country.
