A dumb bank robber was arrested in Texas after writing his demands neatly on the back of his curriculum vitae.

Frederick McDowell, 32, had tried to conceal his CV by taping black paper over it, but officers quickly removed it and discovered his name and address.

He was in custody today after leaving the note behind when he fled a bank in Fort Worth with several thousands dollars in cash.

“I don’t know if he wrote it out and suddenly realised, ‘Uh-oh. Gee whiz. I accidentally wrote this on the back of my resume, but I already went to the trouble of writing this thing out so neatly that I don’t want to start over again,”’ said Sgt Kevin Morton.
