Minister will bring children's hospital proposal to Cabinet

The Health Minister says he will bring proposals on the new national children's hospital to Cabinet by the end of the month.

The Health Minister says he will bring proposals on the new national children's hospital to Cabinet by the end of the month.

James Reilly is adamant no decision has been made on where to locate the facility.

That is despite two newspaper reports suggesting Connolly Hospital in West Dublin and a greenfield site in the Minister's constituency in North Dublin.

He says all proposed sites remain as possibilities: "All the hospitals are still in the frame, as they always were.

"In terms of decisions, this will be brought to the cabinet before the end of the month. It would be utterly unwise of me to give any view of any site at this particular point in time."
