Adverse weather conditions have caused severe travel disruptions in the east of the country, with ferry sailings and flights into Dublin experiencing major delays.
Intending passengers have been advised to contact their agents.
Motorists have also been urged to take extra care on the roads, with further heavy rain expected throughout the country during the afternoon and early evening.
High winds are expected to continue for the remainder of the day.
