Urn of ashes stolen from Tallaght house

An urn containing ashes has been stolen during a burglary in Dublin.

Gardai have appealed for information following the theft from a house in Deerpark Place, Kiltipper, in Tallaght, in the early hours of this morning.

The urn contained the ashes of the householder’s mother and father.

It is described as a 6in (15.2cm) square black box with a glass top and two dolphin emblems on one side.

A Garda spokesman said: “Obviously this crime has caused considerable distress to the family and anyone with information should contact Tallaght Garda Station.”
