World rally champion Richard Burns has resolved his legal wrangle with Subaru, leaving him free to race for Peugeot next year.

World rally champion Richard Burns has resolved his legal wrangle with Subaru, leaving him free to race for Peugeot next year.

Subaru started court proceedings in the British High Court last week to prevent Burns from leaving the team because of a contract clause compelling him to remain at Subaru.

However, Burns’ lawyers argued that Subaru’s signing of Tommi Makinen allowed their client to leave because the Finn is a suitable replacement.
