The Parents for Justice group are lobbying the Minister for Health Micheal Martin to set up a full statutory inquiry into the retention of children's organs.

The group are campaigning for a public inquiry into how and why the organs of their children who died in hospital were detained and disposed of without their consent.

A private inquiry, under Ms. Anne Dunne SC, has been underway since April 2000.

Parents for Justice withdrew their support for the Dunne Inquiry in October of this year, saying the Inquiry's scope was inadequate.
