Three arrested following Dublin robbery

Gardaí have arrested three people in connection with a cash in transit robbery in Dublin this afternoon.

A man, believed to be armed with a hand gun, held up the G4S security van in the car park of Rathfarnham Shopping Centre on Butterfield Avenue, just before 1pm and stole an undisclosed sum of cash.

He then made his getaway in a red Skoda Octavia, which was driven by another man and was later found burn't out by Gardaí in Templeogue.

This evening, investigating officers arrested two men and one woman - all in their late 30s to early 40s - in the Ballyfermot area.

They're being detained at Terenure and Rathmines Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
