Gorgeous Georgia among BB celebs
Top Irish model Georgia Salpa was among the latest batch of contestants to enter the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house as the Channel 5 show kicked off in Britain last night.
The Greek-born former girlfriend of Calum Best was joined by a cast including shamed reality star Frankie Cocozza, ex-EastEnder Natalie Cassidy and the sister-in-law of footballer Ryan Giggs.
Also in the show is Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas, who surprised the sporting world in 2009 when he came out as gay.
Actor Michael Madsen, who wore a shirt emblazoned with the US flag, 'Loose Women' star Denise Welch, singer Andrew Stone, Playboy models and twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, former So Solid Crew star Romeo Dunn, page 3 girl Nicola McLean, and 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Kirk Norcross complete the motley lineup.
Kildare-born presenter Brian Dowling, a former 'Big Brother winner', has said he could not wait for the new series to start.
He said: “Big Brother is still relevant and it remains the original reality television show. What you see on Big Brother is real, the situations are real, the drama is real and that’s why people still want to watch.”
He warned the celebrities not to expect an easy time on the show, saying: “I want Big Brother to get tougher with them this year, the celebs had it way too easy last year.”
This is the second year the show has been on Channel 5 after it was dropped by Channel 4, and it has struggled to pull in viewers.
Paddy Doherty’s win in the last series was the least watched finale of the programme since it launched more than a decade ago.
