Israeli soldier dies in Gaza attack
Gaza exploded into violence again today with a Palestinian bomb attack that killed an Israeli soldier.
Israel’s military said militants detonated the bomb next to an army patrol near the Gaza Strip in the first serious clash since a ceasefire was called last week.
Israel closed its crossings into Gaza to humanitarian aid traffic after briefly opening them today, apparently due to the attack.
Elsewhere Palestinian officials said Israeli troops along the border shot dead a 27-year-old farmer.
