Lita sends Reading into top six

Leroy Lita’s second-half double sent Reading soaring into the top six at Eastlands.

The former Bristol City man delivered a late one-two to settle the contest, taking advantage of through balls from Steve Sidwell and John Oster to deliver a pair of clinical finishes to take his seasonal tally to 13.

City only had themselves to blame as they wasted a string of good chances, although Lita did have what appeared to be a perfectly good first-half goal ruled out when the ball was incorrectly ruled to have been out of play when Steven Hunt nodded it back to the striker.
