Enda Kenny says he's disappointed that Northern Ireland's new First Minister won't attend any events to mark the centenary of 1916.
The Taoiseach's congratulated DUP leader Arlene Foster on her official appointment as First Minister earlier today.
But he says he's disappointed that his new Northern counterpart has already ruled out attending events to mark the centenary of the Easter Rising.
He says the government's programme of events has been deliberately designed to allow inclusion of people from all communities.
"These have been put together in a very sensitive, comprehensive and inclusive way.
"There are people of the nationalist persuasion in Northern Ireland who have attended at many sensitive issues."
