GAA managers are to go back to their county boards to try to resolve the unrest in relation to new match regulations for 2007.
Around 20 managers, mainly from football, met for around two and a half hours in Mullingar last night to discuss the new regulations.
Afterwards, Armagh manager Joe Kernan read a statement to the media saying that official channels would be followed to try and resolve the process.
He also dismissed speculation that a GPA-style managers' organisation was in the pipeline.
