Kodak recalling shocking cameras

Kodak is recalling 75,000 digital cameras sold worldwide because a manufacturing defect could give users an electrical shock.

Kodak is recalling 75,000 digital cameras sold worldwide because a manufacturing defect could give users an electrical shock.

Kodak said the recall only involves the DC5000 digital camera.

The company received a dozen reports of customers who got an electrical shock while changing batteries, plugging in the memory card or USB computer cable. There were no reports of serious injury.

The company will cover the cost of inspection, any necessary repair and shipping to and from repair centres.
