You shouldn’t mess with Tim Robbins when it comes to his family, as one gossip discovered at the post-Oscars Vanity Fair party on Sunday night.
The actor/director got nasty with a Washington Post journalist at the party once he learned the writer had written an expose about his long-time partner Susan Sarandon’s rift with her family.
The Post spoke to Sarandon’s pro-George W Bush mother Lenora Tomalin before the Academy Awards and she told a reporter that she thought her daughter and Robbins had politically “brainwashed” their son, Jack Henry, over the results of the 2000 election.
When Robbins learned that the columnist in question, Lloyd Grove, was at the party, he said: “You’re the one who wrote about Susan’s mother,” according to America’s People magazine.
People adds: “He went on, ’You wanted to be divisive, and you caused trouble in my family. If you ever write about my family again, I will find you and I will hurt you.”’
